A really small town garden – Grove Place
We love this garden for its simplicity. This garden actually visually appears to have grown in size, both widthways and lengthways! The garden is a small walled garden on the South coast, with a lovely feel to it, but sadly a little neglected with some very overgrown shrubs which closed in on the space, making the garden feel small and unuseable.
The client loves the Mediterranean, and frequently spends time away so low maintenance was important. The balmy climes of this coastal town, combined with the warm sheltered walled garden enabled me to create a charming garden with simple planting in a limited palette of colours – hues of violet, blue and white, with lovely silver and blue leaved foliage perfectly complimenting the two stunning specimen olive trees – glimpses of the lovely wall, enhanced by subtle night time lighting and a tinkling water feature, create a relaxing backdrop – a real charmer.
