A contemporary town garden – Holly Meadows
Holly Meadows was a wonderful blank canvas with quite a deceptive slope. This is a great example of an empty space actually giving the illusion that the garden is small… but into this ever - enlarging space we have generously squeezed some real gems; a raised island with a contemporary rill and water blade, a white wisteria gently winding its way across four cantilevered steel poles, a steel box arch leading to a travertine seating area with a raised occasional seating wall, and four simply stunning, beautiful specimen silver birch trees defining a lower slate dining area.
The overall effect is a spacious, contemporary, uncluttered garden spanning over three levels, each level offering stunning visual contrasts of sun and dappled shade, reflections and illusions. At night time the garden is gently lit to create dramatic impact.
